About us

Finca Santa Lucia in La Cumbre de Comasagua is a three generation coffee farm. The farm is now managed as an ecological tourism project and natural reserve. La Cumbre de Comasagua (Cordillera del Balsamo) runs through the central and southern part of the country from east to west, having an average altitude of 1,200 mtrs. Its “capital” is the city of Comasagua. Other nearby cities and above La Cumbre are: Tamanique, Chiltiupán, Teotepeque, Jayaque and Talnique.

Finca Santa Lucía is only a 5 minute drive from Comasagua, with several restaurants nearby. The first private natural reserve in the country and the Mirador de La Giralda, are neighbors of Finca Santa Lucia.  The beaches of El Sunzal and El Zonte on the Pacific coast are just a 40 minute drive south. The drive over the road to La Cumbre is simply exceptional and of unparalleled beauty. There is still much to discover in La Cumbre de Comasagua. Take our eco-cabin as your starting point.

How to get to Finca Santa Lucía​

To get to Eco-Cabaña Finca Santa Lucía, you can arrive by car from San Salvador driving in direction of La Libertad and taking the intersection to Comasagua (next to the Centro Comercial Las Palmas and Pollo Campero). Or you can go up the road to Tamanique coming from El Sunzal or on the road to Chiltiupán, coming from El Zonte beach. The entrance to Finca Santa Lucía is 2 KM before or after, depending on which direction you are coming from. At KM 13.5 you will find a sign “Finca Santa Lucía”. You will have to go down 500 mtrs on a dirt road before you reach our main entrance.
